K-12 Education
District facility work is scheduled against the academic calendar, which compresses most renovation into summer and holiday windows. Substantial completion dates are firm rather than negotiable, and occupied-building work requires background-check compliance for personnel on site.

Districts bid under Idaho Code Title 33 and Title 67. Projects over $50,000 require a Public Works Contractor License.
Municipal & County Facilities
City halls, libraries, community centers, maintenance shops, and administrative buildings. Work is typically phased around continuous public occupancy, with limited staging area and constrained working hours.

Council or commission award, often with a published bid calendar and a formal bid opening.
State Agencies
Agency-owned facilities administered through the Idaho Division of Public Works for larger capital projects, with smaller alteration and repair work handled at the agency level.

DPW-administered solicitations for capital work; agency-level purchasing below the applicable threshold.
Special Districts
Highway districts, fire districts, water and sewer districts, cemetery and recreation districts. Smaller boards, shorter approval chains, and recurring maintenance needs that suit task-order arrangements.

Public Safety Facilities
Fire stations, law enforcement facilities, and emergency operations centers. Renovation must maintain response readiness, which usually means phased work, temporary facilities, or overnight scheduling.
